Mark your calendar for August 12-15, 2010 because Ribfest is almost here! The Nebraska Pork Producers’ Capital City Ribfest is a four day summer festival featuring award-winning barbecue and live music. The 2009 event had a record-number of 31,475 people attend in four days! Over the last 14 years, Ribfest has become largest, most popular summer event in downtown Lincoln!
Not only does Ribfest showcase some great barbecue, attendees can also jam out to live music performed on the Performance Scion of Lincoln Sound Stage where some of the best local and regional talent highlight the four day event. The 2009 event had 15 bands keeping the rib lovers entertained throughout the four days.
Top notch, award-winning barbecue pit bosses from around the country gather to show off their talents and serve up fabulous barbecue to Nebraskans. The Capital City Ribfest is unique to Lincoln in that barbecue is the focal point of the festival (so leave the white shirt at home!) – offering the public a chance to sample a variety of barbecue flavors from across the nation and even Australia!
