Here at NPPA we value education and think it’s important for young people to educate their peers through their own agricultural and educational experiences. Every year we induct more college students into our mentoring program. Every Monday we post a blog from a mentor. This is their chance to share their experiences and things they’ve learned about the pork industry or just agriculture in general. This is a good resource for those who have had similar experiences and for those that have not, it acts as a valuable educational tool. Here are some of the mentors who will be sharing their stories with you every Monday:
Emma Likens: UNL - Agricultural Journalism
Nate Hanson: UNL – Agricultural Leadership
Courtney Schaardt: UNL – Agricultural Education – Leadership Option
Holly Fujan: UNL – Animal Science
Erin Oswald: UNL – Business Management w/ an emphasis in Entrepreneurship
Michelle Semler: UNL Graduate Student – Meat Science
Levi McPhillips: UNL – Animal Science
Carl Jacobson (not pictured): Southeast Community College, Beatrice – Agricultural Business
